Vapor Abrasive Blasting (VAB) is a surface preparation technology designed to remove coatings, contaminants, corrosion, and residues from hard surfaces.

Similar to dry sand blasting, but with one crucial difference: the blast media is moistened before striking the surface. Its main advantage is a drastic reduction in dust. This allows our operators to work in various environments with minimal setup and cleanup costs.

The result? A cleaner, more consistent, and ready-to-coat surface without embedded particles or dust residue.

3 in 1 (blasting media/sand, water, air) – (surface preparation, cleaning, refurbishment). The interaction of blasting media, water, and pressure is decisive. This technique is so universal because these three factors can be individually and independently metered

in ARTHA Vapour Blasting. It is virtually dust-free and offers a cost-effective alternative to other processes.

Key Benefits

01

Small and portable – makes it easy to move on the deck. It can handle both horizontal and vertical surfaces

02

Environmental friendly – 92% less dust and less media consumption compared to dry blasting. Uses less water than traditional water-based wet blasting, pressure washing or hydro jetting

03

Eliminate interruption to production and normal pipeline operations

04

No health risks – No risks due to vibrations caused by hand tools

05

Surface preparation – perfect feathering which creates a good adhesion of the paint, compatible with almost all grit types
